WHAT IS THREAD ROLLING?
Not by removing material,
but by pressure forming threads.
Thread rolling is a cold forming process in which profiled rollers apply pressure to the surface of a tube or round material to create threads. The material flows towards the roller profile and the desired thread form is produced.
In thread rolling, the material’s grain flow is not severed; it follows the thread profile. This preserves the material’s structural continuity. The surface work hardening produced by cold forming can improve thread strength and fatigue resistance under suitable material and process conditions.
In cut threading, some material is removed by cutting and the grain flow is interrupted at the thread surfaces. Because rolling forms the material without cutting its structure, it can offer advantages in strength and surface quality over cut threads.
At Çağrı Makina, we manufacture the complete dies, rollers and die components that perform this process.

Whatever your standard,
let’s manufacture the die for your needs.
We manufacture custom thread rolling dies for international thread standards, including Metric, Unified, Whitworth, BSP and NPT, with right- and left-hand helices and single- or multiple-start profiles.
International standards
Different thread families for tubes, screws, bolts and other round workpieces.
Right- and left-hand helices
Die and roller manufacturing for the required thread direction.
Multiple-start threads
